By Marty Gillis, I was pleasantly surprised by the LG BD630! You get a lot of money! I'll try to do this a small part in this review, so if you are interested read on Mc Duff! I bought this camera for my elderly father, who took 81 years to watch Xvid and MKV files from the Internet, usually documentaries on the history of WW2 and other programs. Of course, it seems that DVD, but so far did not draw on Blu-ray and Netflix streaming. I need something for him, it was very easy to follow menu system and worked well with minimal defects. The same unit is very basic on the outside. The BD630 has an on / off, eject, play / pause and stop buttons on the face and a USB port is covered by a little rubber 'on the right side with the disc tray to the environment. Not exactly high quality arising from construction, at first glance, but what makes this little player is the software so good inside (more on that soon) Of course, it seems quite cheap, as they say good things can and come in small packages. This is a very small unit (not too deep) and very light. Came filled with a PRINTED manual decent, basic wiring (requires an HDMI or component) and a remote control function that uses only one AAA cell, are also included. It comes with a pair of print ads from Netflix, and even a small sticker on top of the unit is crying Netflix. (Removes easily) The power cord is connected. You get composite video, stereo RCA audio outputs, component video and HDMI output, a coaxial digital audio output and a LAN port to connect to your network if you want to use features like Netflix Netcast and you tube. As is not activated at the lower end of the LG food chain this player DLNA and play your video files (except Blu-ray and DVD), you have a USB device flow, or a USB stick or external hard drive that you can not Connect to this device over the Ethernet connection to your computer. LG brings some models, the more functions it UP. I think that's understandable given the price level. Connectivity is very good indeed, you can use this device with one of an analog TV standard all the way up to 1080p HDTV and audio options are just as good with the analog stereo outputs or digital coaxial cable, which can process up to 5 , a Dolby Digital or DTS, HDMI output, an uncompressed TruHD Dolby or DTS Master Audio tracks, can that most versions of blu ray accompany happen. You can adjust the video output to match the resolution of the TV, adjust the aspect ratio of 4:03 to play as it is to stretch or programs to fill the screen. The USB port can be used for a USB memory stick or external hard drive connected, it is not so picky about the formatting of the disk and can support up to four disk partitions. Only it's fantastic for the price and a nice touch. This brings me to my first and only major complaint about this machine. It's so easy then when you connect your USB device or cable to it, usually the unit to fire back. Maybe add some slip a small rubber feet on the bottom with a few drops of super glue would be easy to solve. Be aware that if you're not careful, you can tap thing on access to that function. Note: If any BD-Live features that you would like to download and re-open, a USB device is necessary as it apparently is minimal onboard memory. I personally disable BD Live on all machines I have, because it tends to slow load times. Set up took less than two minutes after the connection is made. The machine starts quickly. Easy as fast as my Oppo BDP-80 It was interesting when I load a Blu Ray Java heavy and loaded very quickly. I.
