I believe his review is based on the lack of that knowledge.I own 4 of these and have NO issues with them. They work seamless for me and have for 6+ months.I like them and would purchase again if I needed more. 2 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Paperweight; don't bother; you will lose [...] - like I did By Alexander Lee Why a paperweight?(1) So buggy it locks up like 50% of the time. Click on one button, (like when you're navigating the directories for example), and 50% of the time the NaS locks up and is inoperable -- yes, that means, broken until you restart the NaS. It is sssoooooo very buggy, and when you restart the NaS, you have to restart it manually -which can take 10 minutes to wait around for. With such a egregious failure rate, this is not a NaS, but a paperweight.(2) Virtually no product support. Why. At the time I bought this NaS adapter, the amazon.com description of it was like one small paragraph. And each sentence was too brief to describe what it actually does. For one, as a Newbie myself to NaS, I had a hard time understanding what each Very Brief Sentence was saying. And when I checked the manufacturer's product website, their information was almost just as sketchy. = No Product Support. Technically, you can e-mail their support, but there are no product support on their product website to begin with, and no forums on this product (so people with questions can post their questions and get answers from either the manufacturer or other users), and who wants to e-mail support everytime one has a question? = no product support.(3) Made in China . Okay. I don't like to talk negatively about what country a product was manufactured in, but after noting this product, was bottomline, a paperweight after I used it and gave up on it as a paperweight, I thought to myself, "Made in China" -- figures. I have nothing against "Made in China", but this product will not be a service to people or customers who want a quality NaS.****************************************************************************************************************************************I apologize that I didn't write a review sooner, that is entirely my fault. I should warn people about this product and tell them to spend their hard earned money on something that I feel Amazon.com reviews gave a high rating to when buying a NaS. I don't like to thrash products with a negative review like "1 star- paperweight", but I can't go with my feelings of compassion here, I feel it is my duty, in the end, to warn customers that basically, if a product is a waste of their hard-earned money, and that their money is better spend on other products, then I should do so, because in the end, that would be my duty to do. So I apologize, and here is my review.I have nothing against the manufacturer, or products made in China, but customers are better off spending their hard-earned money on NaS's that works, not ones that don't.*****************************************************************************************************************************************One good thing about this product: The NaS can be used as a printer server, and it works just A-Okay as a printer server. I didn't have too much trouble hooking up my desktop Windows Vista Computer to the printer connected to this NaS, that part worked out fine. So yes, as a printer server, it worked just fine for me. But I wanted to buy a NaS (which happens to also be able to act as a printer server), not just only, yes only, a printer server. If I wanted a printer server, I would have bought just a printer server. But I wanted to buy a NaS, and bottomline, this is not working as a
